More Apps Need A Spotify Wrapped

Yesterday was Spotify Wrapped day, what a day! There’s nothing I love more than swiping through hundreds of them each year on my story. You’re telling me you had Taylor Swift, Chapell Roan, AND Sabrina Carpenter in your top 5? I never would have guessed! Thank you so much for sharing with the rest of us (Your’s truly was in the top 0.005% of Bruce Springsteen listeners. No big fuckin’ deal.). This of course doesn’t apply to anyone who posted a story or tweet that included Barstool podcasts in their top 5. You’re so loved.

Is Spotify Wrapped really that necessary, though? I don’t think I’ve ever looked at someone’s top 5 artists and been shocked with what I saw. We know every single girl is going to have Taylor Swift somewhere in her top 5 artists and every frat bro is gonna have Morgan Wallen and he who shall not be named. This is nothing we needed a recap of to know!

There are other aspects of our daily life where an end of year wrapped would be of far more use. How about an end of year wrapped for how many females rejected me over the year so I can go back to the drawing board, make some changes for the following year, and once again get rejected. Live look at me:

But on a serious note, how is there not an app that does a food version of wrapped? I would pay a premium to get an end of year overview of the places I ate at the most, my favorite meals I ate that year, and who I ate with the most that year. Maybe don’t include how much I spent in total, though. Can't believe I just gave an idea like that out for free.

Anyway, that’s my two cents. It’s a great episode today, the voicemails brought it and Paul Walter Hauser stopped in for an interview. Be sure to give it a listen, maybe even two to boost those numbers for next year’s Wrapped.
